Our programs facilitate Jewish experiences and inspire our youth and teens to create their own points of Jewish connection.

Youth Programming
Organized by our youth engagement coordinator, youth programming at Temple Emanuel fuels connection to Judaism in a welcoming, fun and authentic way. From apple picking to snow tubing and Shabbat candle making to shul-ins, we help make friendships and memories that spark a lasting love of Jewish community.

Jewish Summer Camps
Jewish camping experiences enrich and transform lives by strengthening identity and knowledge, instilling Jewish values and cultivating lifelong friendships. The Union of Reform Judaism (URJ) offers three wonderful camp opportunities in our region: Crane Lake Camp and Eisner Camp in the Berkshire Mountains and the special-interest 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy, located nearby on the beautiful Governor’s Academy campus. Temple Emanuel offers tuition scholarships toward these and other Jewish summer camps, thanks to funds established by our Sisterhood.

B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO)
Some of our Temple Emanuel teens expand their Jewish journey by participating in the Merrimack Valley chapter of B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO), the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement. Teens involved experience local programming in their communities, regional programs such as dances, community service days, sports events and weekend-long conventions; international programming at large scale conferences and BBYO summer experiences. Follow Merrimack Valley BBYO’s Instagram feed @mvbbyo for information on upcoming local and regional programs.

Israel Travel
We encourage our teens to participate in one of many excellent Israel travel programs including Yallah! Israel, the Reform Movements network of Israel travel programs for teens, and the Lapin Foundation’s Youth to Israel (Y21) Adventure program for rising high school seniors who reside in Boston’s north shore communities. Scholarships are available through the generosity of our Sisterhood to children of active Sisterhood members.

College Student Holiday Packages
Temple Emanuel’s Sisterhood helps keep college students connected to our congregation by sending care packages to students of Sisterhood members for Passover, Rosh Hashanah and Chanukah, including personal messages from both the rabbi and Sisterhood president. To participate, please be sure you’re an active Sisterhood member and sign your child(ren) up to receive holiday packages here.
