New Rabbi to Begin on July 1
News of Rabbi David Wilfond’s hire as Temple Emanuel’s next spiritual leader was featured in the Andover Townsman.
ANDOVER — A rabbi who has served congregations overseas, including Israel and Ukraine, will be once again taking up that role, this time at Temple Emanuel.
David Wilfond serves as the senior rabbi at Temple Shaaray Tefila in Bedford Corners, New York, and will be joining Temple Emanuel on July 1, according to a press release from the temple. Temple Emanuel is the largest jewish reform congregation north of Boston, serving about 400 families.
“My wife, Deborah, and I and our three children are thrilled to be joining Temple Emanuel in Andover and embarking on the next chapter of this beloved 103-year-old institution, Wilfond said.
