Temple Emanuel Supports Reform Movement’s Stance on Reproductive Rights with Four Upcoming Programs
Temple Emanuel is supporting the Reform Movement’s position on reproductive health and rights by offering three upcoming programs to congregants and the greater community including Repro Shabbat on February 21, 2025, a screening of the documentary film Preconceived – with an introduction and Q&A with the filmmakers – on February 28, and a Reproductive Rights Panel Discussion on March 2. Additionally, on March 20 the Sisterhood of Temple Emanuel will host a Wine & Wisdom program that will explore Jewish texts and perspectives on reproductive rights.
The February 12 issue of the Jewish Journal featured a story on two of these important events. Here’s an except:
“Temple Emanuel of Andover will kick off Women’s History Month with a panel discussion on reproductive rights which will explore the legal, medical, and social landscape for reproductive rights in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision and will address opportunities for advocacy at the national and local level. In addition, as a prelude to the panel discussion, the Temple will show the film “Preconceived” a raw and insightful film that looks into the rise of the enigmatic crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) pervading America. Both programs will be held in person at Temple Emanuel, 7 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover, MA 01810, and are free and open to the public but require registration.
