This concert will feature the late works of Harold Shapero: Bagatelles for solo piano, and the Whittier Songs- settings of abolitionist John Greenleaf Whittier’s poems. Composer Harold Shapero, of the Brandeis University Music Department, composed in a listenable conservative tonal style known as Neo-classical. He was a member of the “Boston school” .
International renowned soprano Barbara Kilduff and tenor Frank Kelley perform as guests with ECMP’s flutist, artistic director, Michael Finegold (Temple member), cellist Sebastian Bäverstam, and pianist Constantine Finehouse.
