Benefactors Society

Temple Emanuel Benefactors, a community of donors that lead with their philanthropy, contribute at an annual level above regular membership dues and provide our main source of operating support beyond dues and tuition. The impact of Benefactors’ support is felt in every area of temple life, helping to bridge the gap between membership-based income and operating expenses, and allowing us to welcome all interested members, regardless of financial means. Congregational Funds & Tributes

Donations and tributes to congregational funds allow us to sustain and build our exceptional range of programming, learning and worship experiences, and respond to the needs of our community. Tree of Life

An inscribed leaf on Temple Emanuel’s Tree of Life provides a distinctive way to commemorate a life cycle event, honor friends or family, or memorialize a loved one with an enduring tribute. The beautiful bronze tree, adorned with copper, silver and gold leaves, is prominently displayed near the sanctuary in the main lobby. Individual Retirement Account (IRA)
If you are 70 ½ years or older, you can transfer funds from your IRA or other qualified retirement plans directly to a qualified charitable organization, such as Temple Emanuel. This type of contribution, known as a “Qualified Charitable Distribution” (QCD), can be a very tax-beneficial means of charitable giving.
