Our monthly book group explores Jewish-themed fiction and non-fiction. We will discuss “The Human Scale,” a new novel by Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright. In this gripping and timely thriller, Palestinian American FBI agent Tony Malik travels to the West Bank on a personal trip, but quickly finds himself entangled in the murder investigation of an Israeli police chief. Forced to partner with a hardline Israeli officer, Malik must navigate deep political divides, personal secrets, and escalating tensions. Set against the backdrop of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, this novel explores loyalty, identity and the human cost of conflict.
