On a recent evening, Temple Emanuel in Andover welcomed more than 125 congregants to the sanctuary for a thoughtful and timely program, “Israel in the Middle East: An Update on the Evolving Relationship Between Israel and the Region.”

Sponsored by Temple Emanuel’s Middle East Discussion Group, the evening gave members of the community an opportunity to hear directly from Benjamin Sharoni, Consul General of Israel to New England, and engage in a respectful and informative dialogue about Israel’s role in a rapidly changing Middle East.

Sharoni’s remarks centered on the dramatic geopolitical shifts that have reshaped the Middle East over the last decade.
