Cantor Caitlin’s First High Holy Days at Temple Emanuel
Since joining Temple Emanuel in January 2026, Cantor Caitlin McLaughlin has quickly become a beloved presence on the bimah, bringing warmth, wisdom and extraordinary musical talent to our community. With her expressive voice, joyful spirit and inclusive approach to worship, she connects with congregants of all ages, inspires participation and creates meaningful spiritual experiences. Grounded in Jewish tradition while embracing a range of musical styles and innovative approaches to worship, Cantor Caitlin brings a distinctive energy and spirit to our congregation. Her first High Holy Days with Temple Emanuel are a meaningful milestone — and the Jewish Journal recently offered a closer look at her experience preparing to lead our congregation in prayer and song.
Temple Emanuel of Andover’s Cantor Caitlin McLaughlin said she is both excited and daunted to lead the congregation in prayer and song for the first time during the High Holidays.
“You know, this time of year is really intense,” said McLaughlin, who came to the congregation in January, at first as a long-term substitute cantor. “It’s like the fullest expression of everything you get to bring as a musician,” she said.
